Small Town Coroner
There was a terrible boating accident on the coast. A small boat crashed right into a fishing boat. Unfornately I was a very busy man today.
I tend to wonder what it is they see before they die? What do they think about? God? If they will be missed? What they had for dinner? It's so hard to say.
I've changed my breakfast to blueberry waffles everyday. Makes me feel special. It's time I started making them special again.
The sheriff was in to eat with me tonight. He acted like we were best friends. Once we were but now I can't seem to talk with him like I used to. After the accident I dread seeing anyone with a badge.
We talked about the things we did back in high school. Just before things I guess you could say. He pulled the fire alarm our last day freshman year and I ended up taking the fall. His dad would have tanned his hide. The son of the sheriff pulling a stunt like that, no sir wouldn't fly.
It's funny now looking back. We aren't the same but sometimes we do need a reminder of the past. Sigh. Days, people and I were all different back then.
I almost forgot. Tonight I started prayer in the three am to four am hour. We all need somebody praying every hour. Life is hard and if you let it life will kill you. Well as I finish this sentence it's time. Night four in the books.
