Small Town Coroner
Today Sarah took our son to the doctors today. I had to work since ...well I'm the only one in town to do my job. The apointment was at 11:30am just after the baby's lunch...well they are always eating. The news was not what we expected.
Our son has a Congenital deformity with his heart. It only effects eight in one thousand. The severity of it isn't know yet but more testing is to come. We expected nothing, but asked the doctor to check everything.
My worst fears of losing another child have run wild.
Sarah can't sleep checking his pulse round the clock. To put it truthfully our house is filled with pins and needles as we try to walk normally through our days.
There was no family history..how could this happen? Our son, my new family. We organized a prayer team and have been reading everything we can online but it only makes us feel worse.
You know when you are dealing with something you don't know anything about you read everything and that just makes your fear worse. One of us will find something on one Web site and then the other finds something contradicting the first. It's enough to make someone on crazy. You just don't know and your imagination runs away with it.
All you can do is pray in this time of need that God will answer your prayer.
